All Buick Encore models are powered by a 1.4-liter four-cylinder engine. However, it has different power ratings for different trims. The base model is rated at 138 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque. The more powerful version delivers 153 horsepower. All engines are paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, but all-wheel drive is available on all but the 1SV model.
Standard exterior features on the 1SV and Preferred trims include 18-inch alloy wheels, LED running lights, automatic headlights, heated mirrors, keyless entry, rear privacy glass, and roof rails. The Sport Touring model adds a rear spoiler, remote start, and foglights. The Essence trim includes LED headlights.
The Experience Buick package available on the Preferred II, Essence, and Premium trims include 18-inch chrome alloy wheels and a sunroof.
