The 2017 GMC Acadia comes completely redesigned this year. It is a little smaller now, but is more sophisticated and delivers excellent performance and modern technology.

It is available in six trim levels: SL, SLE1, SLE2, SLT1, SLT2, and Denali.

The base engine is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine rated at 193 horsepower and 188 lb-ft of torque. Higher trims come with a 3.6-liter V6 engine with 310 horsepower and 271 lb-ft of torque. Both engines are paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, but all-wheel drive is available.
When properly equipped, the Acadia can tow up to 4,000 pounds.

With its redesign, the Acadia now has a sleek exterior. Standard features include 17-inch alloy wheels, keyless entry, and heated mirrors. The SLE1 trim adds LED running lights, while the SLE2 trim adds 18-inch wheels, foglights, roof rails, and a power liftgate.
On the SLT1 trim, buyers will get an auto-dimming
driver-side mirror and the SLT2 trim adds 20-inch wheels and a trailering package.
The range-topping Denali trim delivers polished wheels, a unique grille, xenon headlights, and a hands-free power liftgate.

Inside, buyers will find premium materials throughout the cabin. The SL trim comes standard with tri-zone climate control, cruise control, Bluetooth connectivity, a seven-inch touchscreen, IntelliLink, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a six-speaker stereo, and OnStar with 4G LTE Wi-Fi.
The SLE trims add satellite radio, an eight-way
power-adjustable driver seat and middle-row captain’s chairs. With the SLT trims buyers will get a universal garage door opener, leather upholstery, driver-seat memory functions, and more.

Standard safety includes antilock brakes, traction and stability control, airbags, OnStar with automatic crash notification, and a rearview camera.
Available features include blind-spot monitoring, lane departure warning system, rear cross-traffic alert, rear parking sensors, lane-keep assist, low-speed forward collision mitigation, front parking sensors, automatic high beams, and a
safety-alert driver seat.

When equipped with front-wheel drive and the four-cylinder engine, the Acadia gets an EPA-estimated 21/26/23 MPG City/Highway/Combined*. With the V6 engine, the GMC delivers an EPA-estimated 18/25/21 MPG City/Highway/Combined*.
