The GMC Terrain is a small SUV with a stylish, capable design. The rugged grille gives it that look of signature GMC capability while still being attractive and practical enough for the modern family. Features like a power dome hood, aluminum wheels, and chrome surround on the grille give the Terrain an upscale vibe, but available conveniences like a power liftgate make the exterior functional, too.
The GMC Terrain offers two engines - a standard 2.4-liter inline-4 that delivers 182 horsepower and 172 lb-ft or torque, or the new 3.6-liter V6 engine with a power rating of 301 horsepower for a major performance boost. These engines are mated to a single six-speed automatic transmission with the option of either front- or all-wheel drive.
The standard 2.4-liter engine was rated at 21 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway,* though it also comes equipped with the ability to toggle between different driving modes, including the fuel-saving Eco Mode. However, if you choose the available V6 engine, fuel economy drops to 17 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway.*
Soft-touch clothing seating, front bucket seats, ambient lighting, remote keyless entry, a seven-inch touchscreen, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror are only a few of the standard luxuries the 2017 Terrain has to offer. You can add on available features like automatic climate control, heated mirrors, or a premium audio system if you want more convenience and entertainment. The Chevrolet MyLink system comes with plenty of infotainment options and services, too.
With a standard rear vision camera, advanced air bag system, traction control, and much more, the 2017 GMC Terrain is equipped with plenty of features and systems to keep your family safe and sound. Available Forward Collision Alert, Side Blind Zone Alert, and other driver assist and alert systems can be added on, utilizing cutting-edge technology for more advanced safety.
